* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Southeastern Cook County in northeastern Illinois...
Northern Lake IN County in northwestern Indiana...
Northern Porter County in northwestern Indiana...
* WHEN...Until 630 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding
may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be
flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 325 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Radar and observations indicate
these storms are producing a quick 1 to 1.5 inches of rain in
less than 30 minutes. This will likely result in minor flooding
shortly after thunderstorms arrive.

Hammond, Gary, Tinley Park, Calumet City, Portage, Merrillville,
Valparaiso, Chicago Heights, East Chicago, Schererville, Hobart,
Lansing, Oak Forest, Harvey, Highland, Blue Island, Munster,
Dolton and Park Forest.
